Saturday September 14th

The rest of the group arrived  in Le puy en Velay. Deb by train from England, meeting Petra and Pam in Paris and then a smooth 6 hour train journey across the heart of France. We are joined by Laurence’s friends Stefan and Sun. 

It was a 22 hour journey from the USA and 14 hours from the UK.

The trio arrived just at sunset, window ful to see friendly faces at the station. A quick checkin and dinner at the Mister Greaser Diner.where the food wasn’t greasy or dunnerish but the chef was very particular and could not do a burger without the addition of cheese. “It is not allowed” we were told. Most of us had duck which was delicious.

We were treated to a full moon and a light show. 

Off to bed. It’s 19km or so tomorrow on day 1.
